WashingtonPost.com reports today the NBC Olympics Web site is attracting visitors in much larger numbers this year than during previous Olympic Games as consumers increasingly demand control over how and when they get updates and watch video. PaidContent.org argues that “traffic should be even higher since Athens in 2004 given the spread of broadband, increased interest in online video and the addition of
high-profile traffic partners like Google and ESPN.com but the report of 18.7 million page views in the first two days isn’t shabby.”
The mobile world is also covered as anyone with a MobiTV subscription can watch highlights on a dedicated channel that will be updated daily.
